Apple Brownie Cake...yummm.....

Does this not look yummy...well we just had it for dessert & it is very yummy!!!

Now you may wonder why I have Cindy's picture of it...well I added the icing sugar a wee bit early and my icing wasn't quite as smooth (lol...okay it was a tad bit lumpy). So Cindy graciously offered up her picture (thanks Cindy).

So here is the yummy recipe that originated from Rhonda's Blog:

Apple Caramel Brownie

2/3 cup butter 2 cups brown sugar, lightly packed
2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt 1 cup chopped apples

Icing

½ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup milk
2 cups icing sugar

First make the brownies. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well. Measure in the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and apples, and stir until ingredients are thoroughly combined. Spread batter in a greased 9 by 13-in. (22 by 33 cm) baking pan and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 35 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. Let cool completely before icing. To make the icing, melt the butter in a saucepan, then add the brown sugar and milk and bring the mixture to a boil. Remove from heat, let cool and stir in the icing sugar. Spread onto cooled brownies.

Thank you Rhonda!

Enjoy everyone!!!
